Jill Monroe

Jill Monroe is a Senior Vice President in Global Human Resources for Bank of America. Jill earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and master’s in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She started her career in accounting with Arthur Andersen, specializing in tax. She then worked in tax for Grant Thornton LLP and then moved to other parts of the company working in campus recruiting, followed by audit operations. After spending several years in public accounting, she joined Bank of America in 2010 and has held various positions within Human Resources.
Jill is a native Charlottean and enjoys cheering on the Carolina Panthers and UNC Tarheels, playing fantasy football, reading, and listening to mystery podcasts. Jill has a strong connection to Claire’s Army as a friend to Claire’s mom, Emily. Jill and Emily were in the same preschool class and have remained friends ever since. Helping families who have children battling cancer is near and dear to Jill’s heart, not only because of her connection with Emily and Claire, but Jill’s own family was impacted by pediatric cancer when Jill’s nephew, Noah was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer when he was in the 8th grade, and he is now a cancer survivor.
