HOW TO HELP

Approximately 200 new families will face a childhood cancer diagnosis every year in Charlotte, NC between Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital and Levine Children’s Hospital. These families’ worlds have been turned upside down – emotionally, physically and financially. There are also 75+ families who have been fighting for over 18 months. Their sick child has likely endured months of treatment, possible remission, only to be followed by potential disease relapse.

TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, CLAIRE’S ARMY WILL:

• Provide each of the newly diagnosed families in Charlotte with a Claire Package. This useful utility tote will contain essentials such as towels, a bath mat, room disinfectant, plastic utensils, dishwashing liquid, a journal, and more.
• Deliver custom ordered dinners 5 nights per week to the patient and family at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital and 2 nights per week to patients and families at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.
• Pay bills on behalf of families who are suffering financially due to rigorous treatment schedules from Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital and Atrium Health Levine Children’s.  These include but are not limited to mortgage/rent payments, utilities, travel needs, and car insurance.
