Kevin Chandler

Program Coordinator

Kevin Chandler is Program Coordinator for Claire’s Army, having previously served as volunteer Meal Program Coodinator since 2018.  Kevin graduated from the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS) with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He earned his Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Georgia State University. Kevin began his banking career with Regions Bank after college, and met his wife Donna in Sunday School at church in their hometown of Rome, GA.  Kevin and Donna married in 2002 and he moved to Macon, GA, working for Colonial Bank (now part of Truist Bank). He followed her with two more moves to St. Louis, MO and Dallas, TX prior to landing in Charlotte in 2014, where both Preston (now 8) and Olivia (5) were born.

Kevin spent 19 years in banking primarily in a business and commercial lending capacity. He worked for South State and First Citizens Bank in Charlotte, and left banking in 2017 following the birth of daughter Olivia. Kevin came to know Claire’s Army at the 2017 Gala, and quickly knew there was a place to plug in for him. Beginning in May 2018, he has run the Meal Program with assistance from many really great volunteers.

Kevin and Donna live in South Charlotte with their two kiddos and their beautiful collie Max. They enjoy travelling & spending time as a family playing tennis, boating, and hiking.
